A very laid back nose on this beer delivers a touch of earthy and toasted grain malt along with a touch of fresh green hoppiness.

The laid back nose brings a laid back flavour. This is perfect beer for the patio because it’s clean, crisp, delivers a touch of lemon flesh and has a snappy taste that doesn’t linger. The mouthfeel is smooth but tends toward a dry feel after the swallow. If you’re looking for a lean beer that’s no nonsense, this is it.

A great beer for anything off the grill and seasonal vegetables.

Pours a pale yellow colour with a clear body and low carbonation. A thin film of white bubbles rests on top of the pour.

If something is worth doing, it should be done with intention. That was the idea that brought Scott Saccary, Kevin Saccary, and Mike Gillespie to the doorstep of craft brewing. In their minds, anything they made should be done with care and purpose, so that the outcome delivered a purpose that people cared about. A trifecta emerged, where they created clothing, beer, and events that brought the people of Nova Scotia together. And through intention, gave them a meaning that was more than the sum of its parts. New Scotland Brewing Co. makes great things because of attention and care born from intentionality. Crack open the result and enjoy. The Light Lager is based on the American style, lighter in body and lower in kick, with a sweeter malt base. A crisp beer that’s perfect for days on the patio. Serves well at 8°C and can cellar for up to six months.
