Profile

Smell

A combination of rich tropical fruit and very dank hops. The hops are strong pine resin with a hint of floral thrown in.

Taste

The tropical fruit takes a step back in the flavour compared to the aroma, letting in more of the hops and malt. But the hops also step down in their intensity, making for a well-balanced flavour that showcases the floral, pine, and earthy qualities of the hops, while keeping it all in check with the fruit flavour. Fairly smooth body ends on a sweet note.

Pairing

Jump into something spicy and rich to pair up with this beer.

Sight

Pours a light yellow colour with a hazy body and medium carbonation. A thin layer of bubbly foam rests on top of the pour.

Description

Situated along the cool waters of the Fraser River, smack in the middle of Delta, British Columbia, the Mills family is making some damn good craft beer. Four Winds Brewing has been the passion of the Mills family since 2013 and through challenges, hardships, and a changing world they continue to uphold a tradition built on a vision of beer that encompasses the world. All styles, all flavours, all in the quest to capture heart and generosity in each bottle. Combining European and American styles, Four Winds has created a handful of delicious standard brews alongside a line-up of limited run specialties. In each case, the beers they’ve created are examples of the best qualities of the style, while delivering a unique touch well-known to the West Coast craft scene. Blue Dream is a Hazy IPA inspired by a local B.C. cannabis strain. The result? A dank and juicy pale ale with big aromas and even bigger flavours. Serves well at 6°C and should be enjoyed right away.
