Profile

Founded in 2010, Omnipollo is the work of Henok Fentie and Karl Grandin. Brought together by the shared goal of changing the perception of beer, the duo are responsible for brewing a wild variety of beers combining the skills of a master brewer and graphic artist to give their customers a true aesthetic experience. Relying on contract brewing and partnerships, Omnipollo has made and distributed beers all across the world, relying on the kindness of other brewers and the curiosity of beer drinkers everywhere. More than 400 beers have been produced by the duo and they can come at you from any direction... so keep your eyes open and senses sharp. The Prize Pils is based on the classic German Pilsner style and does a bang up job in delivery. Brewed in Bavaria with an eye for the soft body of a Helles and the familiar flavour of a Pilsner. Serves well at 8°C and can cellar for up to six months.

Look

Pours a pale golden colour with a clear body and low carbonation. A thin ring of small bubbles rests around the edge of the glass.

Smell

A slightly sweet aroma of pilsner malt and baking spices, but all of it is deep down and doesn’t reveal itself with warming it up a touch.

Taste

The soft body really blunts any sharp flavours, easing you into the taste of fresh apples, toasted grains, and baking spices. The hops come in on the heels of the others, bringing in a touch of earth and leafy green flavour. The mouthfeel is incredibly soft and silky, and the whole taste experience fades off to a slightly astringent finish that leaves behind the taste of pepper and loam.

Pairing

Good with anything you’re going to enjoy at the local pub.
