Shipping Your Beer
More information about our shipping procedures and policies.
Our team wants to ensure that receiving your beer is as painless as possible. This being said, there are many factors involved with shipping. Please be advised that we may delay your shipment if we believe that there is risk involved (ex. Poor weather that may ruin the product); we will do our best to keep you up-to-date if this happens.
We will email you on the first of each month to let you know when you can expect to receive your package. Be sure to let us know if you need to delay your shipment, or reroute it to a new address if you will be away. If you move, be sure to login to your account to change or update your shipping address. Make changes to your address prior to the cut-off date indicated in the email to ensure that we send your package to the right place.
FedEx is our default shipping courier for members in municipalities in Alberta. If you would like to pick up your package or switch couriers, please get in touch with us.
We ship using FedEx’s 2-day express service. If you live in a remote area, there may be delivery delays. Delays may also occur due to extreme weather.
Adult signature on delivery is required for all packages. * If no one over the legal age in your province is present at the shipping address, FedEx will not release the package.
FedEx will make one unsolicited delivery attempt. If the delivery is unsuccessful, your package will be returned to their nearest World Service Centre. These centers are located in most major cities. You can contact FedEx and request a second delivery attempt or pickup your package at the World Service Centre. They will hold your package here for 5 business days.
FedEx will leave a tag at your door if you missed their delivery attempt. FedEx will contact you with notification of the failed delivery.
In order to pick up your package, FedEx requires a piece of I.D. along with your tracking number – which we email to you once your shipment leaves our headquarters. The tracking number can also be found in your account, under ‘shipments’.
After five business days, FedEx will return your shipment to our store location in Calgary. We will contact you to arrange a re-delivery when you are available; there is a delivery fee of $15 for us to ship your package out again. You can also pick up your missed delivery in Calgary.

Canada Post is the default courier to all provinces other than Alberta, and all rural communities. Deliveries using Canada Post will take from 2 to 11 business days to arrive, depending on where you live. By default, all rural addresses and PO Box addresses will be shipped with Canada Post.
By default, we use an alternate courier for Toronto, Montreal, and Ottawa, unless otherwise requested.
Adult signature on delivery is required for all packages. * If no one over the legal age in your province is present at the shipping address, Canada Post will not release the package.
Should you miss your delivery attempt, Canada Post will leave notification at your door. Your package will be held for pick-up at the nearest depot for 10 days. Canada Post will not make a second delivery attempt.
In order to claim your package, Canada Post requires a piece of photo I.D. with the same address listed on the shipping label, as well as your tracking number – which we email to you once your shipment leaves our headquarters.
After ten days, Canada Post will return the package to our store location in Calgary, and we will notify you. You can then choose a date for your reshipment ($15). You can also pick up your missed delivery in Calgary.

ATS Healthcare is a an alternate shipping method that is available to WineCollective members. With a temperature controlled delivery network, ATS Healthcare allows us to ship wine across Canada, without the worry of spoiled wine due to extreme weather. ATS Healthcare is best suited for large city destinations and office addresses.
From Calgary to Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto, ATS Healthcare users can expect delivery within one week of ship-out. Deliveries are completed in the afternoon and two delivery attempts will be made.
As with all of our couriers, your signature is required upon delivery. If you are not home to receive your package, ATS Healthcare will leave a door tag. You can contact them to arrange the second delivery. If the second delivery attempt is unsuccessful, additional attempts or re-directs can be requested for a fee of $10. Alternatively, you can pick up your package at an ATS Healthcare location, specified on your door tag.

Picking up your beer
If you live in or around Calgary, it may be convenient for you to pick-up your package at Highfield liquor store. You can select to pick-up your package when you sign up for a new package.
Highfield liquor store is located at 22, 1259 Highfield Cres SE. Highfield liquor store is open Monday-Friday 10 am-7 pm, and Saturday 12pm-4pm.
* A courier should never leave packages unattended. Please notify us if your beer is left outside.
