Profile

Smell

The flavour profile delivers all fresh fruit that is tinged with floral hints. It strikes a balance between malt and hops. This ale is both refreshing yet complex, and very approachable.

Taste

Light and refreshing with tangy hints of citrus, warm floral notes, and just a hint of sweetness. This beer is very juicy, and lively on the finish.

Pairing

Rock this beer out with a roasted turkey sandwich, or serve it with a pork taco. Fresh green salads with a citrus dressing and goat cheese works well too.

Sight

Bright yellow sunny core with a creamy off-white head. Mostly clear.

Description

This brewery was an idea thought up during a camping trip by two Ontario natives that worked and played up in the Northwest Territories for years. The idea came to fruition in 1997 when they decided to open doors and create a space that catered to supporting the local community by creating jobs and servicing the north with quality beer and spirits. Over a decade old, the Yukon Brewing Company continues to support its locals through countless events and local causes each year. Both Bob and Alan (the original owners), continue to grow the company outside of the Yukon. Their beers can be found in some parts of western Canada, and in some parts of Manitoba. This brewery also distills spirits and has won numerous awards for their whiskies. The Stranded Sun Radler, is so fresh and fruit driven. Its intensely crushable and the low alcohol makes it so bright and thirst-quenching on the palate. The floral notes pop when it is served chilled at a cool 6C.
