Smell
Very earthy nose with dank undertones, balanced with tropical fruit and citrus notes.
Taste
Predominantly citrus and tropical fruit flavours like mango and pineapple. Notes of fresh orange, grapefruit in the background. Tangy with herbal notes, some floral too (comes from the hops). Bready malts with hints of honey and rich caramel are also present. Intense bitterness. Medium carbonation and mouthfeel.
Pairing
Pair this with nachos, mild curries and fish dishes.

Description
Located in Yellowknife, they are Canada’s northernmost brewery. What started out as a Christmas gift from his wife Miranda, soon turned a hobby into an obsession. After medalling in several home brew competitions, the couple decided to take Fletcher’s hobby to the next level. They both quit their full-time jobs and in January of 2014 was when the idea saw fruition and the couple became new business owners of the NWT Brewing Company and Woodyard Brewhouse and Eatery. Fletcher’s brews and Miranda is the General Manager of the company. In their first year of business, their Kickstart Cream Ale won Bronze at the Canadian Brewing Awards. A staple for the local community and surrounding areas, they were also named one of the 50 top bars in Canada in 2018. In 2022, the brewery expanded into a larger facility down the road from the Brewpub to accommodate the ever-growing demand for their brews.
