Description
Camp was founded by three local owners with a shared history in homebrewing. Kevin and Dave, both part of the Full Barrel Home Brewing Club, spent countless hours touring regional breweries, sampling different styles, and learning from every visit. Along the way, they crossed paths with Jamie, who was head brewer in Maple Ridge. After chatting about their dream of opening a place of their own, Jamie joined forces with Kevin and Dave to make it happen. In December 2019, Camp opened its doors to welcome the local community. The founders wanted to celebrate both great beer and their love of the outdoors, so they created a space that feels like a cozy cabin. The taproom exudes a relaxed, woodsy charm, and the patio stays open rain or shine (no small feat in BC!). Launching during a pandemic was a challenge, and the new crew had to shift gears more than once just to stay afloat. Fortunately, seasoned folks from the industry stepped up, offering advice and helping them sidestep the usual bumps in the road. Through it all, Camp has remained focused on community, quality beer, and a friendly vibe that draws everyone in.
