Profile
Smell
Most of what you’ll get on this nose is the fresh, clean grains in the malt with just a hint of herbal qualities coming through from the hops.
Taste
Straight down the pipe and no-nonsense. This is all Pilsner, delivering a clean malt line that takes slightly of toasted grain and combines with a fresh cut leafy hops to give it some edge. The flavour is lean and simple, but quite refreshing. The mouthfeel is mostly dry and leaves you smacking your lips.
Pairing
Find the nearest sausage cart and get yourself a brat with mustard and onions on a roll.
Sight
Pours a light yellow colour with a clear body and low carbonation. A frothy head of bubbles rests on top of the pour without running away.

Description
Brewing life for Lane and Kelsey Gibson began when Kelsey bought her husband a home brewing kit for Christmas. It wasn’t long before Lane found himself as a contract brewer for other spots around Calgary, Alberta. Once the best brews had been established and the time was right, they had to open their own tap room and brewery. As both Lane and Kelsey had multiple family members who served in Canada’s armed forces, they chose a military theme for Buffalo 9, to pay their respects and carry on many older ideas. After a few years getting things established, they now have a half dozen regular beers on their taps. The Peril In The Atlantic is a German-style Pilsner and the 2nd release from Buffalo 9 overall. Made using a very basic set of ingredients, the intent is to provide a clean, crisp Pilsner experience. Serves well at 8°C and can cellar for three months.
