The Bronx Brewery is a community driven craft beer project. Their success is tied in their minds and in the wallets with the people of the Bronx and the broader city folk who make a point of seeking out their unique take on beer. TBB makes a point of sponsoring local music and art events to give back to the community as they make their name - expecting an honest exchange and lively collaboration with the people standing at their bar. Since their inception, The Bronx Brewery has put out more than 200 beers, primarily as seasonal or event driven, and crossed every genre or style imaginable. Look
Pours a golden honey colour with a hazy body and medium carbonation. A big foamy head off the pour settles down to a thin ring of off-white bubbles around the top of the glass.
Smell
Tons of citrus aroma, split between sweet flesh and sharp zest. Hop character comes through with pine resin, fresh cut grass, and strong herbal notes.
Taste
Taste follows the aroma, the citrus is strong and opens up with more flavour on the palate. You’ll find grapefruit along with the orange and lemon, sweet and zesty. The hops warm on the tongue and open up the pine and herbal flavours that are sweet with a touch of floral. There’s some bitterness but just enough to cut the fruit and keep it lean, smooth, and crisp. Finishes dry like a whip crack.
Pairing
Lots of fruit and sharp hops pairs well with something spicy and juicy - put together a cajun chicken burger with garlic aioli, crisp lettuce, and firm tomato.
