Introduction

Field House Brewing is everything you’ve ever heard about the parts of British Columbia that straddle the urban and rural border. Cozy, inviting, and embracing the rustic food and atmosphere you’ll find as you move out past the streetlights. Field House encourages local artists and musicians to head out to their taproom but always keeps it small and personal. They’re looking to open up a relationship with everyone who steps into their brewhouse, pours a cold pint for them, and fills their belly with a comforting meal. A handful of core beers arm the taps and they’re not afraid to make seasonal or one-offs. More than 250 beers have been produced by Field House, all of them aiming for a rustic atmosphere and clinical precision. Tasty, consistent, and welcoming - putting Abbotsford in a bottle. The Cryo Pop is a Double IPA, using mad-science to create a fruity, hoppy, herbal pale ale that will knock you down. Serves well at 8°C and can be enjoyed right now.

How it looks

Pours a bright yellow colour with a hazy body and low carbonation. A frothy, pillowy head of white foam pours from the can and clings to the top of the beer.

How it smells

The aroma of tropical fruit is the number one thing you’ll get off this beer. The fruit is muddled but you can pick up some pineapple and mango. There’s a backbone of herbal hops with a touch of floral. A lot going on.

How it tastes

The tropical fruit has a run for its money on the palate. The hops are chasing and sometimes taking over the race. The fruits are lean and lacking in sweetness, and the hops are floral, opening up on the tongue. It can come off as a bit watery, but let the flavours take some time on your palate in order to get it all. Finishes quick with a touch of dryness.
