Introduction

Chris and Lawrence spent years rebuilding their family’s legacy in farming and food service, and much of that on the back of their successful restaurant. And precisely that service path is what caused the brothers to think to themselves - “Hey, why do we keep hunting for better beer for our pub?” It was time to do it themselves. So in 2011 they got started and a year later, using hops grown on their family farm, Farmery put out the first beer: a premium Lager. The ball was rolling and after years of teaming up with other breweries and contracting out, they built their own facility in 2015. Now they’ve got 8 regular beers and a few hard lemonade thrown in for good measure. The NEIPA-WOW! Juicy is an IPA based on the New England style and using a fistful of hops to give it big tropical flavour and dynamic hops on the palate. Serves well at 8°C and should be enjoyed right away.

How it looks

Pours a light golden colour with a cloudy body and medium carbonation. A thick head of pillow foam out of the can forms the head.

How it smells

The tropical fruit is big on the nose but difficult to pull out any one aroma. The hops present as floral and slightly green, but there’s a touch of sweet perfume in the back.

How it tastes

Rolls right down the centre-line of a New England IPA with muddled and sweet tropical fruit, not much distinction to be pulled out in the flavour, and it has a light hop profile that starts out a touch bitter but opens up into some floral and earthy tones. Smooth mouthfeel although it does have a slightly astringent finish. Easy to drink and well-balanced elements, crack it open!

Recommended food pairing

Any stir fry with some ginger and sesame would be a homerun.
