Introduction

More Brewing has two tap rooms, one in Villa Park and the other in Huntley, which means you can snap up a pint of their fresh, clean beers with the greatest of ease. This incarnation of More has only been on the scene for a few years, but quickly made up for the short time. Hundreds of beers have been slung out their doors in their brief time, and they currently sport close to two dozen tasty options in their taprooms. Running the gamut from crisp Pilsner to Imperial Stouts and wild IPAs, there's something in the stable of More Brewing's beers for every beer lover. The Villa Pils is a traditional German-style Pilsner, made with 100% German sourced hops and made in homage to the birthplace of More. A crispy, refreshing beer with a smooth body and snappy carbonation, this is a perfect patio beer or even a randy session. Serves well at 8°C and can cellar for up to six months.

How it looks

Pours a pale golden colour with a clear body and low carbonation. A thin ring of sticky foam forms around the top.

How it smells

The aroma of this beer is almost completely dominated by a sweet corn malt, like a fresh cob roasted briefly over the bbq.

How it tastes

The taste follows the nose, with a sweet corn malt taste complemented by a sharp, fresh green bitterness that balances out that sweet. The taste is clean and sharp, with a smooth body and snappy acidity that wakes up the taste buds. Finishes off quickly with a touch of leafy bitterness and astringent mouthfeel.
