Introduction

Rich Buceta spent years homebrewing and moving slowly toward the horizon of his first professional brewing setup. Buceta was driven to create original craft beers with unique hop-profiles - a crossover of West Coast brewing genius and East Coast interpretation. SingleCut has spread across the East, becoming a staple of the east's markets. All of this success has come from the philosophy that Buceta wrote down at the start of his brewing journey: Mastery knows no shortcut. Half a dozen year-round beers are on the slate, built through this idea, with a rotating and seasonal roster as well. Crack open and taste the pursuit of excellence. You need more Cowbell and this is a creamy, slightly sweet Stout that sits atop a roast malt base with a huge cocoa infusion - precisely what the doctor ordered. Serves well at 10C and can cellar up to half a year.


How it looks

Pours a deep black colour like printer’s ink with a completely opaque body. A solid finger of off-white foam out of the can that slowly dissipates.

How it smells

All the best things of a sweet milk stout - a chocolaty foot forward, smooth and slightly sweet cream, toasted bread, warm vanilla bean, and a touch of flowery hops around the edges.

How it tastes

The taste follows the nose but once it hits your tongue and warms up, you’ll find that there’s a lot more depth to this beer than you may have expected. The chocolate notes extend past mere milk dud levels, hinting at the cocoa and sneaking in some bitter edges. The coffee element opens up and some green, leafy character can be tasted. Overall it’s sweet and smooth, well-balanced, and it comes to a slow end on the chocolate note.

Recommended food pairing

This is a beer you can enjoy all by itself, but if you want to get crazy, find yourself some cinnamon coffee cake to go with it.
