Introduction

The Bronx Brewery is a community driven craft beer project. Their success is tied in their minds and in the wallets with the people of the Bronx and the broader city folk who make a point of seeking out their unique take on beer. TBB makes a point of sponsoring local music and art events to give back to the community as they make their name - expecting an honest exchange and lively collaboration with the people standing at their bar. Since their inception, The Bronx Brewery has put out more than 200 beers, primarily as seasonal or event driven, and crossed every genre or style imaginable. If you’re in the New York area, get yourself down to the South Bronx and partake of one of their creations. The World Gone Rosé is an interesting take on the hazy IPA, trading out the usual funky style for a more delicate fruit-punch vibe. Still biting and serious, it’s a fun IPA. Serves well at 8°C and should be enjoyed promptly.

How it looks

Pours a light amber colour with a slight tint of raspberry, a totally occluded body, and medium carbonation. A thick, pillowy head of white foam out of the can that hangs around for quite awhile.

How it smells

A strong but muddled fruit aroma combines with a fresh, green leaf-trimming aroma. Quite floral and a touch overpowering.

How it tastes

All the common expectations of an IPA hit the tongue, but that is immediately twisted by the inclusion of the dragon fruit, which gives the beer a slightly fruity and sweet taste, balancing out the mostly root and herbal hop flavours. This sweet and earthy combo remains on your tongue for a long time, fading off to a sweet finish and dry mouthfeel. Quite pleasant all around.

Recommended food pairing

With a flavour this delicate, compared to most IPAs, treat your palate to a more delicate dish than normal. Lamb kabobs with greek salad or get the charcuterie board loaded up and be sure to include Gruyère cheese.
