Introduction

Gigantic features a different artist on each of their beer labels. Artists have creative freedom to design what they like – no art direction, just the intended beer name and style. The label for Scrilla was created by artist Overton Loyd, whose best known for his work with Parliament Funkadelic, an American funk, soul and rock music collective founded by funk pioneer George Clinton. Loyd did the label artwork for Parliament's album "Motor Booty Affair", created costumes for the tour and comics to go along with the release. Gigantic features a George Clinton quote on their Gigantic IPA bottle DzFree your mind and your ass will followdz. The artistic talents of Loyd and Gigantic collided at an L.A., art show devoted to Parliament Funkadelic where both Gigantic IPA and Scrilla were featured. How it looks

Pours a hazy gold with a big, frothy and thick cream coloured head.

How it smells

Fresh-squeezed hop aromas with juicy citrus in the form of lemon zest,grapefruit and orange with kicks of stone fruit including mango, peach and apricot.

How it tastes

Flavours are of bright citrus (most notably orange), toast and some good malt sweetness to balance out the hops. A medium-bodied beer with a clean, dry and refreshing finish. A refreshing, light, hoppy ale that is a perfect easy sipper with some great flavour profiles and a nice malt balance.

Recommended food pairing

APA's are the workhorse of beers for food pairing and go very well with just about anything. The fruity notes of this particular work wonderfully with Colby cheese or pair it up with grilled fruit for dessert.
